Shipping Terms and Conditions


Please make sure that you understand your shipping options prior to submitting an order.


Due to the perishable nature of our frozen pies, it is necessary that they are delivered and received within 48 hours of leaving Avila Valley Barn. Delivery addresses within CA and its surrounding states (OR, WA, NV and AZ) can be shipped via UPS and Ground delivery and arrive within this allotted time. Deliveries to any/all other states, not mentioned above, are subject to shipping via UPS and Next-Day Airand or and 2nd-Day Airand delivery, in order to arrive still frozen and ready to bake.


Please note that the receiving party must be present at time of UPS delivery and/or be held responsible for any resulting loss or regression of the frozen nature of the pies. Avila Valley Barn is not responsible for any extreme weather conditions at customer-specified delivery addresses or loss of quality due to unattended delivery.


All other merchandise and products, other than frozen pies, are processed and shipped daily.


Avila Valley Barn has had many years of experience doing business with UPS and has chosen them as a reliable courier to deliver our customers and orders. In an effort to keep costs down we DO NOT charge a handling fee, however, upon submission of order, customer agrees at their own risk to ship and be held to the terms and conditions of UPS delivery services. If an unlikely delay or damages are encountered by UPS, Avila Valley Barn will gladly research the reason with UPS, but will not be held responsible for resulting damages or filing of freight claims resulting from UPS error. If needing to reorder, please contact Avila Valley Barn via phone, once your online replacement order is submitted, and we will do our absolute best to pack and ship from our San Luis Obispo location right away.


Return Terms and Conditions


A request for return of non-perishable merchandise must be made to Avila Valley Barn (service@avilavalleybarn.com) within 30 days of order submission. Please include name, order#, quantity of item(s) and reason for return. Upon review of order, Avila Valley Barn will reply via email with pre-authorization to return the item(s). Customer will be responsible to print this authorizing email and ship it, along with the item(s) to be returned, to Avila Valley Barn. Return merchandise must be in the original packaging and in resalable condition.


Avila Valley Barn works hard and is dedicated to provide our fruits, vegetables and other seasonal food items at the peak of freshness and direct from our farm to your family; therefore, we cannot accept returns of perishable items.


Please note credits cannot be issued for merchandise damaged or not delivered to our facility. We recommend shipping your return products via a tracking courier such as UPS, Fed-Ex or US Certified Mail with insurance to ensure credit. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Special orders of merchandise cannot be cancelled or returned.
